CCCOnline

About

Colorado Community Colleges Online (CCCOnline) is not a college in and of itself. Rather, it is an extension of and a service to each of our colleges. We offer high-quality, online courses that provide additional flexibility for students. Students from any of our colleges can take CCCOnline classes. Students can take just one class, or complete an entire certificate or associate degree completely online.

We use an innovative team approach using faculty subject experts, instructional designers, and technology experts, and have produced outstanding examples of online courses that serve as models for the industry. Along with course content development, CCCOnline staff work to investigate emerging instructional technologies and how they can be applied to effective online learning. Courses developed by CCCOnline have received numerous national merit awards.

We’re happy to have you teach with us and share your expertise with our students. The online courses at CCCOnline use a master course template to ensure the same look and feel across our curriculum, and to ensure our courses follow Quality Matters (QM) design standards. However, instructors are provided the opportunity to personalize courses with supplemental content and are encouraged to work with their program chair to provide feedback to continually improve our course content.

Students take courses with us because we offer a productive and exciting way to learn — completely online. We focus on adding a human touch to the high technology of online learning, and we are committed to providing students with low-cost, high-quality courses.

To support our instructors, CCCOnline offers robust professional development opportunities, extensive library resources to support your teaching and learning, as well as a teaching excellence program to help instructors continually improve their teaching (or to share with new teachers) by working closely with their program chair. You also have a community of colleagues where you can share best practices or just lean on for support and camaraderie. Please explore our website so you can learn more about us and the services we have to support both our instructors and students.

All new online courses will be developed in compliance with accessibility guidelines. In order to meet this goal, a course style guide containing general guidelines and a Master Course Template were implemented. The Instructional Designer Team Manager and our group of instructional designers will work with subject matter experts to create web-based course material that meets the web accessibility standards and practices detailed in the WCAG 2.0 guidelines (AA level).
