Virtual Roundtables

Roundtable discussions will be interactive sessions designed to promote discussion and sharing of ideas amongst college-specific cohorts. The sessions will be informal in nature and designed to promote conversation and insights among participants. This is an ideal format for exploring new ideas, new strategies, and current issues in teaching and learning. Roundtables may begin with a short presentation or activity to orient participants, with the remaining time devoted to discussion.

The purpose of this symposium is:

  • To develop an openness to new teaching practices by seeking points of connection and interaction with differing perspectives; and
  • Learning to harness the power of diversity as a source for creativity, innovation, and/or productive collaboration.

Participants will be able to:

  • Share and collaborate on efforts that advance the areas of student learning, student success, closing equity gaps, and advancing one’s own teaching practice.
  • Gain knowledge of evidence-based strategies and technologies that support improvements in student learning, student success, and closing equity gaps; and how to apply those strategies and technologies in their classroom and pedagogical practices.
